Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) is one of the most accurate manufacturing processes available for creating complex geometries within tooling parts or assemblies using electrical discharges. 

The cutting pattern is usually CNC controlled and allows intricate detail to be added to tooling or assemblies. Becasue EDM requires no contact or force, it is well suited for making frail or fragile parts that cannot take the stress of standard machining like CNC. Complex shapes, tapers, tight radii and difficult to machine materials are all candidates for EMD.
