The world’s first 1.3b compliant locking HDMI is joint venture by Alex, Richard, Leigh and John Drewnicki. It stops unintentional disengagement of HDMI cables, overcoming an increasingly common problem with vertically mounted cables.

As TVs get thinner and sockets are more commonly situated on the underside of the device, this issue will increase.

The product was unveiled by HDMI Licensing LLC at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in January 2009, and in April 2009 passed official ATC testing.

The product has already been appraised by leading TV manufacturers and audio visual retailers around the world.
