In 2007, Polar Creative designed a revolutionary form of packaging, which combines a wafer thin CPP/OPP bag with a biodegradable card to hold products in place. This form of packaging reduces packaging volume by up to 85% compared to conventional blisters.

The Enviropack range of bio-degradable packaging was designed for Commtel (UK) Ltd to replace the blister packaging used in their AV, Telecom and Computing accessory ranges in Focus DIY. Polar Creative managed the entire project from conceptual designs to bag printing. We also worked with multiple factories to ensure that the manufacture of the bags limited environmental burden, and optimised the inks used so that they minimised pollution.
