He Yao has worked for Polar Creative since 2007. Fluent in both English and Mandarin, she manages Polar Creative’s China office – liaising with suppliers, acting as interpreter to her English-speaking colleagues as well as coordinating international transactions and shipping.
He Yao comes from the town of Mianyang in Sichuan Province. She was in Sichuan at the time of the 2008 Earthquake, in the British Embassy with Polar Creative founder Alex Drewnicki. They managed to escape unscathed, and were featured in news stories by the BBC.
